Maintenance Specialist Job Description

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment. This individual will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems, and implementing preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on production equipment, including Mark Andy Printing Presses, UTECO Printing Press, Die Cutting Equipment, and other machinery.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues with production equipment, using precision measuring and testing instruments to diagnose problems.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of equipment, parts, and supplies, and ensure that inventory levels are adequate to meet production needs.
  • Communication: Collaborate with production teams and management to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with production goals and objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a maintenance or technical role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Ability to follow wiring schematics and diagnose control circuitry, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced production environment.
