About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Safety Expert to join our team at SEA, Ltd. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of construction safety protocols and regulations, as well as exceptional analytical and communication skills.

This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned safety professional to work in a litigation-based industry, evaluating standard of care for construction safety professionals and assessing responsibility for incidents/injuries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting site evaluations, analyzing construction safety and other issues arising during construction projects, and providing expert testimony in legal proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate standard of care of construction safety professionals and assess responsibility for incidents/injuries which have occurred
  • Conduct site evaluations of industrial and commercial facilities for workplace hazards in compliance with OSHA, ANSI, state, and local regulations
  • Analyze and evaluate construction safety and other issues arising during construction projects
  • Provide expert testimony in legal proceedings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
  • CHST, and/or OHST a plus
  • Current OSHA 500
  • Experienced in the recognition, evaluation, correction and control of workplace hazards
  • Trenching/Excavation/Scaffolding experience preferred
  • Construction management experience with overall responsibility for worksite safety
  • Public speaking experience a plus
