Claims Trainee

The Claims Associate will investigate commercial insurance claims, including automobile, cargo, and general liability claims. This role involves handling claims from initial loss reports to final disposition.

• Conduct thorough investigations of policy coverage and liability, analyzing applicable state laws and determining damage for property, commodity, and personal injury claims.
• Develop and implement effective claim resolution strategies, ensuring timely and compliant resolutions in accordance with state regulatory requirements.
• Manage vendor relationships, assigning tasks and overseeing vendor performance.
• Communicate key claim issues to policyholders, agents, and underwriting teams, conducting open claim reviews and collaborating with other departments to deliver exceptional customer service.
• Travel may be required for training activities.

• Strong analytical skills to effectively analyze information and resolve claims.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to express complex evaluations and negotiate claim resolutions.
• Customer service skills and a willingness to work in a team-oriented environment.
