Job Overview

The Electrical Project Manager is a key role within our team, responsible for overseeing the successful execution of electrical projects from start to finish.

This includes monitoring installations to ensure work is performed according to company standards and contract documents, managing crews to optimize efficiency and productivity, and working closely with foremen to manage project components and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all work meets NEC, federal, state, county, and local codes and contract documents
  • Manage crews to optimize time and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with foremen to oversee project components and employee performance
  • Maintain high-quality standards and project goals
  • Utilize pre-fabrication facilities and standard installation methods
  • Anticipate potential issues and take proactive measures to prevent problems
  • Lead by example as an enthusiastic and motivating leader
  • Maintain accurate 'as-built' documentation per company procedures
Work Environment and Demands

This role requires working in various weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors. The environment may be noisy, cramped, dirty, and poorly ventilated at times.

Hazards include risks of electrical shock and other workplace accidents. A 40-hour workweek is typical, but overtime is expected, and electricians may work nights, weekends, on-call, or respond to emergencies.

The physical demands are moderate, requiring occasional lifting of up to 119 pounds, climbing, balancing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, and feeling objects.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Understanding of basic electricity laws and electrical systems
  • Ability to read technical instructions and interpret electrical drawings
  • Basic math skills and ability to apply electrical formulas
  • Visual acuity and peripheral vision
  • Ability to distinguish color-coded wires
  • Basic mechanical skills
  • Visualization and sketching skills for electrical layouts
Education and Experience

Candidates should have completed an electrical construction apprenticeship program or possess 4 years of experience as a journeyman electrician. Equivalent combinations of education and experience are also acceptable.

A valid state/county/municipal electrician license/certification is desired.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
