Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Materials Inspector II/III to join our team at SCI Engineering. As a key member of our Geotechnical and Construction Materials Testing team, you will be responsible for inspecting and reporting on specific aspects of construction works in progress, such as concrete pours, rebar placement, drainage pipe placement, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and report on construction materials and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Assist geotechnical engineers in the field during soil and materials investigations.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress and identify potential issues.
- Develop and maintain accurate and detailed inspection reports.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure timely completion of projects.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in construction materials inspection or a related field.
- Valid driver's license and current insurance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ICC certifications in Soil, Reinforced Concrete, and Reinforced Masonry.
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician Grade 1 certification.
- ACI Concrete Construction Special Inspector certification.
- NiCET certifications relevant to construction material testing/inspections.
