Job Summary

Lane Enterprises Inc is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the plant's electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and perform preventative and reactive maintenance duties for the plant's electrical systems.
  • Direct and perform maintenance tasks, including installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Install and run electrical wiring and conduit.
  • Create and manage work orders.
  • Order and maintain spare parts inventory.
  • Develop and implement an inspection program for electrical equipment.
  • Test and evaluate electrical systems to determine if components need to be upgraded or replaced.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Repair and maintain lift trucks and other equipment to ensure maximum production rates.
  • Overhaul process systems and equipment to ensure optimal uptime.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in safe working condition.
  • Practice proper personal protective equipment (PPE) compliance and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain facility housekeeping.

Requirements

  • Basic industrial, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pneumatic skills, including troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge and experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to interpret and read electrical and mechanical drawings, schematics, and ladder diagrams.
  • Basic welding skills.
  • Ability to install 3-phase motors and control circuits.
  • Ability to rebuild gearboxes.
  • Familiarity with chillers, cooling towers, and pump skids.
  • Understanding of PLC circuits.
  • Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
  • High school diploma, vocational or technical school diploma, GED, or equivalent education preferred.
  • Diesel mechanic or electrical certification a plus.
  • Previous maintenance/electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • PLC programming and troubleshooting abilities.

Physical Requirements

  • The incumbent must possess the strength and stamina to perform medium to heavy physical work, and may occasionally be exposed to dangerous machinery, extreme weather conditions, and extreme noise when working in the field.
  • Ability to work at varied heights and possess the ability to climb ladders.
  • Be able to operate varied hand and power tools and related equipment; vision to read printed materials; color vision to identify electrical wires and pipes; finger dexterity to operate above-mentioned tools and equipment; ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work and inspect work sites; ability to lift, move, and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 75 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment.
