Position Overview

As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Registered Nurse in the cardiology unit plays a crucial role in managing the care of patients admitted from various areas of the hospital, including emergency departments and procedure areas. Our patient demographic primarily includes individuals with serious cardiac conditions such as myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, heart arrhythmias, and pulmonary hypertension.

Role Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering direct patient care, which encompasses:

  • Implementing patient and family-centered care in a supportive environment.
  • Educating patients and families on managing their health conditions, including post-treatment care and medication administration.
  • Engaging in initiatives that enhance patient safety and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborating with an interprofessional team to develop and document individualized care plans.
  • Utilizing critical nursing skills to assess and address the physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs of patients.
  • Maintaining a high level of alertness and safety in all aspects of care.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse License
  • No prior experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Less than 2 years of nursing experience
