Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at 85C Bakery Cafe. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly quality control checks to ensure compliance with QAFS policies and procedures.
  • Identify and report any issues related to product quality, process, and storage.
  • Complete quality control and quality assurance reports, including food safety, microbial, sanitation, and monitoring data.
  • Train production employees on quality control procedures and address daily issues related to temperature, sanitation, pest control, and specifications.
  • Translate QAFS policies and procedures into English, Spanish, and Vietnamese.
  • Participate in problem-solving sessions for customer complaints and audit responses.
  • Conduct visual, smell, and sensory evaluations of products and prepare reports.
  • Arrange and organize retain samples, shelf-life samples, and product samples.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two to four years of production experience in quality control and quality assurance in a bakery or food production environment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish and/or English/Vietnamese) in writing and speaking highly preferred.
  • Able to work in environments such as coolers, freezers, and handle hot bakery items.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Physical Demands
  • Stand and/or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Need to obtain samples; may require climbing, stretching, walking, lifting, bending, carrying.
  • Be able to move in narrow spaces.
