Inova Health System is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in Alexandria, Virginia.
Job Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining aseptic technique and ensuring patient safety.
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures.
- Monitor and maintain a safe and clean operating room environment, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in surgical technology.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; graduation from an accredited Surgical Technologist program preferred.
- 1-year experience as a Surgical Technologist; Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Tech in Surgery – Certified (TS-C) certification preferred.
- Registration as a Surgical Technologist via the Commonwealth of Virginia required; must be eligible for registration at the time of hire.
- BLS certification via AHA required.
