Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Health Nurse Supervisor to join our team at the State of Vermont. Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage a team of public health professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality services and programs.
  • Develop and implement public health programs and initiatives that address health disparities and promote health equity.
  • Collaborate with community partners and stakeholders to build relationships and advance public health goals.
  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to public health professionals to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Conduct needs assessments and program evaluations to inform public health programming and policy development.
Requirements
  • Possession of, or eligibility for, licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Vermont OR eligible to practice in the state of Vermont via a multi-state license.
  • Five (5) years or more of professional nursing experience in public health or community health nursing, including one (1) year or more at a supervisory level.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to interpret state-level programmatic guidance and oversee local level action that meets the needs of the community.
