Diagnostic CT Technologist Job Description

Corewell Health is seeking a skilled Diagnostic CT Technologist to join our team at Farmington Hills Hospital. As a Diagnostic CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic CT exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, providing excellent patient care, and working collaboratively with our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify patient identification and physician orders
  • Provide procedural information and education to patients and families
  • Acquire accurate patient histories and document in medical records
  • Perform CT and related patient care procedures using age-appropriate methods
  • Operate CT imaging equipment and perform quality control and quality assurance testing
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure patient safety
  • Ensure STAT requests are relayed to radiologists in a timely manner
  • Maintain a clean and organized exam room and ensure equipment is sanitized between patients
Requirements:
  • Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited radiography program
  • 1-3 years of clinical experience preferred
  • Certification by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and additional CT certification within 1 year of hire
  • Basic Life Support Certification for Healthcare Providers from The American Heart Association and/or The American Red Cross
