Key Responsibilities

  • Sustaining Engineering: Lead efforts to improve, troubleshoot, and enhance existing products, ensuring they continue to meet high standards of quality and performance.
  • Product Maintenance: Analyze and resolve issues related to product design, materials, and manufacturing processes to optimize product reliability and efficiency.
  • Technical Support: Provide expert support to manufacturing, sales, and service teams, helping to resolve technical issues and improve product performance.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in existing products, focusing on cost reduction, quality enhancement, and increased customer satisfaction.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, ensuring that all changes and improvements meet regulatory and company standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Quality, and Customer Service, to support product lifecycle management and sustainment activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required; a Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on sustaining or maintaining existing products. Experience in CNC or robotic equipment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (AutoCAD/Inventor preferred), mechanical analysis, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems design, as well as GD&T, is essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on optimizing existing products and processes.
