Lead Bookseller

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Bookseller to join our team at Barnes & Noble. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer satisfaction, and developing the skills of our bookselling team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth and improve customer satisfaction
• Lead and manage the bookselling team, providing coaching and development opportunities to ensure their success
• Collaborate with the store management team to achieve business objectives and improve store operations
• Ensure a high level of customer service and a positive shopping experience for all customers
• Manage store inventory, including ordering and receiving stock, and maintaining a visually appealing store environment
• Develop and maintain relationships with authors, publishers, and other industry partners to drive sales and promote the store
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, and apply this knowledge to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in a bookselling or retail management role
• Proven track record of driving sales growth and improving customer satisfaction
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with the store management team and other departments
