About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Regional Truck Driver to join our team at US Foods. As a Regional Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely driving trucks to customers and meeting scheduled delivery times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely Drive Trucks: Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport food products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Unload Products: Carefully unload products from the trailer using a two-wheeler, pallet jack, or by hand and place in designated customer storage areas.
  • Verify Deliveries: Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures.
  • Handle Collections: Handle collections and payments from customers when applicable.
  • Perform Customer Service: Professionally perform customer service responsibilities to enhance our client experience.
  • Perform Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform all pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspection.
Requirements
  • CDL Class A: Must have a valid CDL Class A issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
  • Commercial Driving Experience: Minimum of six months commercial driving experience or three months commercial driving experience in the food and/or beverage delivery industry required.
  • Manual Transmission: Ability to operate manual transmission preferred; may be required in specific locations.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift required.
  • Language Skills: Must be able to read and communicate in the English language - able to hold a conversation, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and to enter information on reports and records.
