Position Overview:
The Ithaca City School District is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as an Electrical Systems Instructor. This role is pivotal in equipping students with essential technical skills and knowledge for their future careers or further education.

Compensation:
The annual salary ranges from $46,138 to $53,414, commensurate with experience and certification, plus an additional $1,750 for those holding a Master's Degree.

Work Schedule:
The standard working hours are from 7:15 AM to 2:45 PM.

Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
  1. Teaching technical skills and employability competencies to prepare students for the workforce or higher education.
  2. Instructing students in citizenship and communication skills in alignment with state learning standards.
  3. Collaborating in the planning and development of educational goals, objectives, and curricula.
  4. Creating lesson plans and organizing class activities to maximize instructional time.
  5. Demonstrating the use of technical materials and equipment through various instructional aids.
  6. Guiding students in selecting and performing relevant activities.
  7. Providing tailored instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
  8. Teaching safety protocols and the proper use of tools and machinery.
  9. Managing classroom conduct to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
  10. Working with academic staff to integrate academic subjects into technical training.
  11. Establishing connections with local businesses to uphold industry standards and facilitate internship opportunities.
  12. Communicating student progress with parents and school counselors as necessary.
  13. Identifying student needs and collaborating with colleagues to address learning challenges.
  14. Encouraging continued education and assisting students in developing employment readiness skills.
  15. Supervising students during extracurricular program-related activities.
  16. Participating in faculty meetings and collaborating with advisory committees on program development.
  17. Coordinating with clinical sites for hands-on training experiences.
  18. Assessing student performance and maintaining accurate records.
  19. Researching and managing instructional materials and budgetary requirements.
