We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. This travel position offers a unique opportunity to work in various locations within a 150-mile radius from home, providing care with competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, and flexibility.
Job SummaryThe Certified Nursing Assistant will provide assistance with basic health care needs, including daily living activities, such as bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 months of previous experience in Long Term Care and be certified as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Responsibilities- Provide assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and obtaining and recording vital signs.
- Provide psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
- Assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate.
- Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
- Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.
- High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred.
- Minimum age of 16.
- Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
- Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position.
