Electric Distribution Line Manager

UGI Utilities, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electric Distribution Line Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Electric Distribution Department, you will be responsible for managing the distribution line department and providing engineering and operating support to ensure the reliable and safe delivery of electricity to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise a team of 10-15 Journeyman Linemen, coordinating work with other departments and external customers as requested.
- Organize, mobilize, and schedule the linemen workforce and equipment to ensure efficient and effective work.
- Assess the productivity of the linemen and the quality of work produced, monitoring performance to ensure work is performed to specification.
- Monitor the company Journeyman Lineman performance to ensure their work is performed to UGI's specification, including call-outs and storm restoration.
- Approve design changes and extra work.
- Review all distribution line construction jobs that come into C&M and coordinate with the Company's line contractor supervisor to determine the most effective way to complete the work.
- Evaluate, purchase, and maintain vehicles, tools, and equipment required for the company Journeyman Lineman to work safely, efficiently, and effectively.
- Provide all programs and training for company Journeyman Lineman as needed to work safely, efficiently, and effectively.
- Support Electric Division training programs by acting as an instructor or SME relative to the development of new training programs or policies.
- First Class Journeyman Lineman license with experience is preferred.
- A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with direct experience in electric utility distribution design, construction, line construction work methods, applicable safe work practices, and maintenance activities will be considered.
- Experience in both overhead and underground utility line construction and maintenance work is preferred.
- The successful candidate will be required to hold or obtain a commercial driver's license (CDL) within the first six months of employment.
- Union-focused supervisory experience is preferred.
