Aurora University seeks talented adjunct faculty who are passionate about teaching and learning. Adjunct faculty are qualified part-time instructors offered teaching opportunities based on course demand and staffing.

We are searching for qualified instructors as part of our adjunct faculty pool to teach graduate-level courses in the Criminal Justice master's degree curriculum, which may include the following areas:

  • Applied Data Analysis
  • Crime Causation
  • Criminal Justice Administration and Leadership
  • Cyber Security
  • Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management
  • Ethics and Diversity in Criminal Justice
  • Problem Solving and Assessment
  • Seminar in Criminal Justice

Minimum Qualifications

A terminal degree in criminal justice or a related field is preferred; a master's degree in a related field, or a law degree, is required. College-level teaching experience is preferred. Daytime campus-based availability is required.

Key Responsibilities

Teach graduate-level courses in the Criminal Justice master's degree curriculum

Develop and implement course materials and assessments

Provide academic advising and support to students

Participate in departmental and university-wide initiatives and committees
