About the Role

The Citadel of Bourbonnais is seeking a highly skilled Dietary Aide to join our team. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by providing exceptional food service and maintaining a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serving Meals: Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance on a timely basis.
  • Food Handling and Sanitation: Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures and maintain a clean and sanitary environment.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties, including cleaning tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, and sweeping and mopping floors.
  • Utensil Management: Carry soiled utensils to the wash area and return clean utensils to proper storage areas.
  • Meal Preparation: Assist the cook in preparing meals and obtaining food supplies for the following meal.
Requirements
  • Experience: Must have experience with the operation of an industrial dishwasher and the sanitation process of the kitchen.
  • Education: Must be able to read/write and speak English.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds to a minimum height of three (3) feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of twelve (12) feet.
