About the Job

As a Cardiac Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiograms on patients, as well as assisting physicians and support staff with technical acquisition of stress echocardiograms.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms and transesophageal (TEE) studies on patients, including 2D, M-Mode, PW, CW, and color Doppler imaging.
  2. Conduct pharmacological stress echocardiograms and obtain high-quality images.
  3. Provide preliminary findings from exams and accurately complete exam worksheets, including measurements and calculations.
  4. Maintain a professional rapport with patients and family members, explaining procedures as necessary.
  5. Assist in optimal operation of echo imaging units and instruments, using them safely and reporting abnormalities when indicated.
Requirements
  • Minimum three to five years of experience in performing stress echoes.
  • Minimum three to five years of experience performing and interpreting 2D, M-Mode, and Doppler Echocardiograms.
  • Completion of an accredited Sonography program in Echocardiography.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A.S. degree in cardiovascular technology or diagnostic medical sonography.

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.

This is a full-time position, requiring 8 hours of work per day, Monday through Friday. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
