We are currently in search of a dependable and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to support the Maintenance Director in executing vital upkeep tasks throughout our community. This role requires a solid foundation of technical knowledge and the capability to fulfill essential responsibilities. The Facilities Maintenance Technician will engage in a diverse array of projects, including repairs and cleaning, to foster a welcoming living environment for our valued Residents.


Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain awareness and adhere to state regulations

• Implement effective infection control and universal precautions

• Collaborate with the Maintenance Director to develop and execute Maintenance programs in conjunction with relevant community departments

• Contribute to the formulation of community-specific fire safety, disaster, and evacuation protocols in line with established policies

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations regarding policies and procedures

• Assist in conducting monthly fire drills

• Execute all maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Director

• Perform various duties, including changing light bulbs, cleaning fixtures, general repairs, plumbing, drywall, and paint touch-ups, as well as maintaining and cleaning laundry equipment

• Clean and polish floors and carpets

• Ensure that maintenance projects are completed efficiently and that supplies are organized and maintained

• Uphold a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for Residents, team members, and visitors

• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned by the Administrator and Maintenance Director

• Attend and complete all required training to comply with DSS regulations

• Safeguard Resident information confidentiality; respect Resident rights and privacy


Qualifications:

• Familiarity with health and safety regulations pertaining to maintenance tasks

• Broad range of maintenance and management skills

• Understanding of material costs and budget oversight

• Effective communication skills with management, colleagues, and visitors

• Clear criminal record check

• Documented TB screening

• Completion of CPR/First Aid training within the first 60 days of employment

• Maintain a satisfactory attendance record

• Perform tasks with professionalism; collaborate effectively with supervisors and demonstrate a willingness to assist colleagues

• Seek opportunities to enhance community operations

• Utilize and apply fundamental management skills

• Capable of fulfilling the duties and responsibilities of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
