Echocardiogram Specialist

As an Echocardiogram Technologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will perform echocardiograph procedures and prepare studies for interpretation by cardiologists. You will review data, confer with medical personnel, and support the organization's policies and procedures. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the highest quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic studies, including 2-D, M-Mode, Doppler, color flow mapping, and stress echocardiograms.
- Record and maintain a daily log and files of studies performed, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Prepare records for interpretation, collection, and distribution of diagnostic data and reports.
- Ensure equipment is operational and available for procedures, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Participate in developing and conducting in-service programs and patient care classes, promoting ongoing education and professional growth.
Requirements:
- Minimum one year of experience in echocardiography with Doppler.
- Graduate of an accredited echocardiography program or equivalent on-the-job training.
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Certificate from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.

Additional Requirements:
- Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of echocardiograph equipment and procedures.
- Ability to maneuver echocardiograph equipment, which may exceed 500 pounds.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
