We are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Respiratory Therapist PRN to join our team at TriStar Centennial Medical Center, a comprehensive facility with over 740 beds.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department.

In this role, you will perform and document patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure. You will also conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.

As a vital part of the patient care team, you will administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy. You will assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform patient assessment, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure.
  • Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for, and response to, respiratory therapy.
  • Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy.
  • Assist with placement of artificial airways.
  • Initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation.
