We are seeking a skilled Switcher Driver to join our team at Metrolina Greenhouses Inc. This role is responsible for safely and efficiently moving trailers from dock to dock within our facility.

• Drive 18-wheelers from dock to dock within the facility
• Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to company policies and procedures
• Communicate effectively with dock crews, drivers, and other switchers throughout the facility
• Conduct yard checks to ensure compliance with company standards
• Operate the fuel truck as needed
• Complete dock work as assigned by management

• 1+ year(s) experience driving a switcher or OTR trailer
• Detailed-oriented, accurate, reliable, able to multitask, and be a team player

This position is primarily outdoors, but may require working between locations and within an indoor office environment for administrative duties. Fluency in the English language is required, and the ability to work in all outdoor elements, including dust and allergens, is necessary. Occasional work on scaffolding may be required. The position requires long-term ability for standing, sitting, squatting, bending, reaching, and twisting on a regular basis to fulfill essential duties. Candidate must have the ability to operate all machinery necessary within the department and across the facility, including but not limited to driving the appropriate switcher trucks. Must have the ability to consistently lift up to 30 pounds unassisted.
