Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Water Management Operator to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. in Cupertino, CA. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective management of our water treatment systems, stormwater BMPs, and retention ponds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, monitor, and maintain water treatment systems, retention ponds, and pumps to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct regular and unscheduled maintenance on water treatment equipment, including water analyzers, pumps, blowers, and testing equipment.
  • Collect and analyze water samples to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Site Water Management Manager to ensure effective communication and coordination of water treatment processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and procedures, and maintain a safe working environment for all employees and visitors.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with mechanical equipment and water treatment systems.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions on the operation of water treatment processes and equipment.
  • Basic chemistry knowledge and understanding of laboratory sampling protocols.
  • Safe driving record and ability to operate heavy equipment.

Work Environment

This role operates primarily in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, and elevated noise levels. The successful candidate will be required to work 80% outdoors and 20% indoors in a climate-controlled environment.
