Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Biology courses at Lone Star College. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating engaging lessons, evaluating student progress, and maintaining a positive learning environment.

This is a part-time, semester-by-semester position, contingent upon student demand. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree or higher in theoretical or applied biology or life sciences, and a strong commitment to academic excellence.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach at various times and locations, including day, evening, and weekend classes. They will also be responsible for submitting required college reports and forms in a timely manner, and utilizing a course syllabus for each course.

We offer a competitive salary of $53.82 per contact hour, as well as a supportive, collegial work environment and opportunities for professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Biology courses at a variety of times and locations
  • Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Evaluate student progress and inform students in a timely manner
  • Maintain a positive learning environment and professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community
