Occupational Therapy Assistant - Contract Position

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a dedication to providing high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Occupational Therapists in evaluating patients to determine their physical and functional limitations.
  • Assist in developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals.
  • Implement therapeutic interventions and activities designed to enhance patients' motor skills, mobility, and daily living abilities.
  • Educate patients on the proper use of assistive devices and adaptive equipment to promote independence.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting progress, treatments, and any changes in condition.
  • Provide guidance and training to patients and their families on home exercises to support ongoing recovery.
  • Communicate effectively with the Occupational Therapist and healthcare team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control procedures to maintain a safe and hygienic therapy environment.
  • Offer emotional support and encouragement to patients as they work towards achieving their therapeutic objectives.
Requirements
  • Valid and active Occupational Therapy Assistant State license.
