Position Summary

The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain cleanliness and order in guest accommodations, ensuring a welcoming environment for all visitors. The individual will perform thorough cleaning and organization of guest rooms and common areas, adhering to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct cleaning and resetting of guest bedrooms and bathrooms according to established protocols.
  2. Manage linen by sorting, counting, folding, and transporting as needed.
  3. Prepare beds and replenish supplies, including amenities and clean linens.
  4. Handle light furniture movement, ensuring a tidy and organized space.
  5. Utilize appropriate cleaning tools and chemicals to maintain floors, carpets, and upholstery.
  6. Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces to ensure a pristine appearance.
  7. Perform window cleaning and waste disposal tasks.
  8. Organize and maintain cleaning supplies and equipment.
  9. Complete any necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.
  10. Maintain cleanliness in hallways, restrooms, and other public areas.
  11. Execute additional tasks as assigned by management.
Supportive Duties

In addition to the essential functions, this position may involve:
  • General cleaning tasks using standard products to comply with health regulations.
  • Responding to special requests from guests and addressing unexpected cleaning needs.
  • Collaborating with team members to uphold a clean and organized work environment.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance at all times.
  • Adhering to safety standards and guidelines.
  • Completing other projects as directed by management.
  • Following all safety and sanitation protocols as mandated.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the primary language(s) of the workplace.
  • Strong reading and writing skills to facilitate communication.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of carpet and floor care.
  • Experience with cleaning equipment and chemicals is preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Work is performed in various indoor and outdoor environments.
  • Must be able to stand and move efficiently for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 75 lbs regularly.
  • Must be capable of pushing and pulling heavy carts and equipment.
  • Requires flexibility to bend, squat, and reach as needed for cleaning tasks.
  • Good hearing and vision are essential for effective communication and task execution.
Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Previous experience in commercial housekeeping is essential, with hospitality experience preferred. Supervisory experience is a plus.
