  • Assist cooks and other kitchen staff with tasks as needed

  • Conduct daily temperature checks on refrigerators and freezers to ensure optimal storage conditions
  • Safely operate all kitchen equipment, adhering to manufacturer instructions
  • Receive and secure deliveries, ensuring timely and efficient processing
  • Properly label, date, and rotate inventory, maintaining accurate records
  • Clean up spills and broken glassware and dishes, ensuring a safe working environment
  • Report equipment problems and maintenance needs to the supervisor
  • Report any injuries or incidents to the supervisor immediately
  • Maintain a professional appearance, behavior, and hygiene, adhering to WindRiver's standards
  • Adhere to WindRiver's COVID-19 response bulletin and follow daily opening and closing checklists
  • Participate in educational, safety, and other staff meetings to stay informed and engaged

Qualifications
  • 1-year experience in the food service industry, preferably in a kitchen setting
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Knowledge and Skills
  • Knowledge of sanitation, health, and safety regulations
  • Ability to understand safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures
  • Flexibility to work weekend, holiday, and evening shifts
  • Understanding of restaurant etiquette and customer service standards
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations and protocols
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing schedules and priorities

Physical Requirements: Must be able to bend, stoop, climb stairs, twist, kneel, lift, push, and pull items weighing 55lbs. Must be able to stand and move continuously throughout the workday. Must be willing to work outdoors and be comfortable in varying weather conditions.
