This position is for a Computer Support Specialist with Allyon, Inc.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide assistance with software installations and configurations.
  • Deliver technical, operational, and training support to users of personal computers, either remotely or on-site, focusing on PC desktop hardware and software.
  • Set up and evaluate personal computers, printers, and additional peripherals; configure operating systems, and install various application software.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to printers, computers, and peripherals, performing hardware and software diagnostics, coordinating necessary repairs, and addressing computer system challenges.
  • Engage in the assessment of system configurations and software.

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Current DoD 8570 IA Baseline Certification, IAT Level I (such as A+ CE, Network+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security certifications). Certification must be current and renewed every three years.
  • Must obtain the appropriate DoD 8570 IA Computing Environment Certification within six months of employment.
  • Interim Secret Clearance and a valid Driver's License.
  • Experience with Windows 7, Windows 10, and MS Office 2013.
  • Familiarity with Remedy or similar ticketing systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to collaborate and gain cooperation from various IT sectors to complete tasks.
  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and as part of a team.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Experience with maintaining Lexmark, HP, or Ricoh printer devices.
  • Prior experience in a DoD environment and supporting Office 365.
