Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team in Austin, Texas.
Job SummaryThe Radiology Technologist will perform diagnostic and fluoroscopic imaging procedures on ambulatory patients in a physician office or clinic setting. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to effectively explain procedures to patients, and provide high-quality care while obtaining diagnostic images.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for radiological procedures by positioning them, adjusting immobilization devices, and operating equipment.
- Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques.
- Document patient information, including pregnancy status and shielding precautions.
- Ensure operation of radiology equipment by performing quality checks and troubleshooting issues.
- Maintain radiology supplies inventory and report any issues to the Radiation Safety Office.
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
- Less than 1 year of experience in radiology.
- ARRT-R Radiography certification.
