Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nuclear Medicine Technologist to lead our team in the Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT department. As a Lead Technologist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, performing complex imaging procedures, and ensuring the efficient operation of the department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide health care services and departmental efficiency in the Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT department using radioisotopes to assist diagnosis or treatment.
  • Perform nuclear medicine and PET/CT related procedures, computer processing, and related techniques, producing images for interpretation by licensed independent practitioners.
  • Exercise professional judgment in performance of service and maintain a demeanor complimentary to medical ethics.
  • Recognize various patient conditions to provide appropriate patient care and ensure successful completion of exams or procedures.
  • Manage the workflow of the department and assume other responsibilities as requested.
Requirements
  • Satisfactory completion of an education program in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Current license with the American Registry Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or certificate with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Current license with the Kentucky Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy.
  • Current Advanced ARRT and/or CNMT Registry required. PET certification recommended upon completion of 700 hours of clinical experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Current CPR for Healthcare Providers.
