Key Responsibilities:
- Operate X-ray machines in compliance with safety protocols.
- Choose suitable imaging methods and patient positioning to achieve optimal results.
- Conduct preliminary interviews with patients to assess any contraindications.
- Clearly explain imaging procedures to patients and their families.
- Address technical issues related to imaging equipment as they arise.
- Regularly test and maintain X-ray equipment to ensure it meets operational standards.
- Provide accurate images and reports to the radiologist and attending physician.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the imaging suite.
- Upload imaging reports to the electronic medical records system.
- Keep an updated inventory of supplies needed for operations.
- Completion of an accredited educational program in radiologic technology.
- ARRT certification is preferred.
- Ability to obtain BLS/CPR certification within the first 60 days of employment.
