Job Description:

As a Quality Assurance Analyst at Caterpillar, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services. You will work closely with customers and suppliers to review quality cases and disposition of material, analyze incoming customer quality concerns, and work quality cases assigned from quality customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with customers and suppliers to review quality cases and disposition of material
- Analyzing incoming customer quality concerns
- Working quality cases assigned from quality customer service
- Collecting non-conformance data and maintaining and updating quality system documents
- Preparing quality return POs for returned goods from customers
- Containment of non-conforming material including validating and verifying on-hand material using standard calibrated gauges
- Identifying potential non-conforming material which has been shipped
- Issuing and managing proactive alerts to customers
- Interacting with operations on operational cause defects
- Reviewing design prints and 1E specifications
Requirements:
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment
- Flexibility and Adaptability: Knowledge of successful approaches and techniques for dealing with change; ability to adapt to a changing environment and be comfortable with change
- Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision
- Quality Management System (QMS): Knowledge of Quality Management System's (QMS) functions, features, and capabilities; ability to design, implement, test, and maintain Quality Management Systems to consistently meet customer requirements and regulatory compliances
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Knowledge of the concepts, principles, and techniques of root cause analysis (RCA); ability to use a structured approach to identify the causes of undesirable consequences in a manufacturing environment and the changes needed to prevent recurrences
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Quality Management: Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization
- Manufacturing Standards, Procedures, and Policies: Knowledge of organizational standards, procedures, and policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, and monitor manufacturing processes for compliance
