Position Overview:

As a Medical Imaging Specialist at Memorial Health University Medical Center, you will utilize your expertise to independently conduct radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations using a diverse range of imaging equipment. Your role is crucial in applying prescribed ionizing radiation to patients for accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.

This position requires adherence to the Memorial Health System's Performance Excellence Standards, which emphasize Safety, Courtesy, Quality, and Efficiency, aligning with our core mission, vision, and values.

Note: This role includes a Night Shift differential, which can be discussed further during the recruitment process.

Qualifications:

Licensure/Certification/Registry:

  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT-R) in good standing or registry eligible. The maximum allowable time to practice in a registration pending status is three months unless specified otherwise by the professional licensing body.
  • Active radiography license required from the appropriate regulatory authority.
  • Current BLS CPR Certification is mandatory.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and guest relations skills are essential. Moderate physical effort is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct a variety of radiographic, fluoroscopic, portable, and surgical imaging procedures on patients across all age groups, adhering to established standards, policies, and protocols.
  2. Maintain technical proficiency in manipulating imaging factors.
  3. Demonstrate skills in both emergency and routine patient care as necessary.
  4. Exhibit technical skills in performing portable radiographic imaging with both static and fluoroscopic equipment.
  5. Embody the Memorial Health System's Performance Excellence Standards:

  1. Maintain technical expertise in trauma imaging, bariatric imaging (including the use of bariatric patient transfer devices), and imaging in critical care and neonatal environments.
  2. Foster excellent rapport with patients, visitors, physicians, and colleagues.
  3. Adhere to proper infection control practices as outlined in departmental procedures.
  4. Monitor equipment and supply conditions to ensure safe and efficient departmental operations.
  5. Ensure accurate recording and transmission of patient information.
  6. Guarantee the safety of patients, visitors, and staff.
  7. Participate in on-call duties as assigned.
  8. Provide supervision and mentorship to Radiography Students.
  9. Deliver an exceptional patient experience by employing A.I.D.E.T and Greet and Feet methodologies.
  10. Perform additional related tasks as required or requested.
