CT Technologist

We are seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team in the Surgery department. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing computed tomography procedures in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures and protocols.
Key Responsibilities- Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
- Operate computed tomography equipment to complete imaging procedures according to protocol
- Review patient images prior to transmission to ensure diagnostic quality standards
- Assist in the facilitation of departmental operations, including inventory, staff schedules, and equipment maintenance
- Adapt behavior to specific patient populations, including respect for privacy and communication style
- Completion of an approved radiologic technology program
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or computed tomography ARRT (CT) certified
- Current unrestricted license in the state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Advanced certification in CT by a mechanism acceptable to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Knowledge of CT procedures and technical language
- Ability to work efficiently and calmly under pressure
- Ability to be self-directed and function without direct supervision
The incumbent works in a patient care area, works in an area where patients enter, works directly with patients, and/or works with specimens that could contain communicable diseases. There may be an occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases.
