Job Summary

We are seeking a highly trained and skilled Security Officer to join our team at Wegmans. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our facilities and employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to emergency situations and provide clear, calm, and decisive direction while providing medical care as needed
  • Manage access control and verify the purpose of visitors and vendors
  • Protect company property and assets while maintaining a strong emphasis on customer service
  • Proactively patrol the buildings and grounds and perform preliminary investigations into safety and security events
Requirements
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Technical aptitude with advanced computer skills
  • Experience utilizing good judgment to effectively communicate and manage conflict in stressful situations
  • Valid driver's license
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Criminal Justice or related field
  • Certified EMT
  • Certified in CPR, AED, and FAC
  • Military, Security, Loss Prevention, or Asset Protection experience
