Job Summary:The Pediatrician will be responsible for assessing the health status of patients and families, initiating therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, and providing teaching and counseling in health promotion, maintenance, disease prevention, and management of acute/chronic illnesses.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess the health status of patients and families through comprehensive health history and physical examination.
- Initiate selected therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, consultations, and laboratory examinations.
- Prescribe and alter medication regimens, interpret findings, and alter the plan-of-care according to collaborative practice agreement and protocols.
- Provide teaching and counseling in health promotion, maintenance, disease prevention, and management of acute/chronic illnesses.
- Document findings and plan-of-care in the patient's medical record.
- Provide continuity of care by developing and implementing patient management plans.
- Perform patient record reviews with the collaborating physician in a timely fashion.
- Advocate for patients and families and support patients' rights.
- Maintain a current level of knowledge relative to professional practice.
- Act as a resource and leader to staff.
- NYS Physician License and Board Certified (BC)/Board Eligible (BE) in Pediatrics.
- Will consider new graduates; previous experience working in pediatrics a plus.
- Strong clinical and interpersonal skills are necessary. Ability to work and excel in a team environment.
- Multi-tasking, flexibility, customer service, time management, organization, attention to detail, professionalism, and quality focus.
- Salary - Salary Plan, 200,000.00 USD Annual.
