Key ResponsibilitiesThe Biomedical Equipment Technician I will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of medical devices and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A completed Associate's Degree in Biomedical Electronics Technology or a related field.
- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Experience in a B.M.E.T. internship program is preferred.
- International Committee Certification (I.C.C.) is a plus.
The candidate should demonstrate:
- Strong mechanical aptitude and analytical skills for troubleshooting electronic and biomedical equipment.
- Proficiency in using basic electronic testing instruments.
- The ability to quickly learn new technologies by applying existing knowledge.
- Excellent eye-hand coordination for working with intricate electromechanical components.
- Solid computer skills and effective communication abilities.
- Physical capability to lift and move equipment as necessary.
- A valid driver's license.
- Resourcefulness in maintaining quality while managing costs.
