">About the Job:

Nelson County Schools is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders in students. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective therapy plans.

">About the Role:

This role requires a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program. Additionally, the ideal candidate will hold a valid speech-language pathology license or interim license issued by the Kentucky Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Experience working with students with communication disorders is essential.

">About the Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

">Responsibilities:
  • Assess and diagnose communication disorders in students
  • Develop and implement effective therapy plans in collaboration with teachers and parents
  • Provide direct and indirect services to students within their educational setting
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and discharge
  • Comply with evaluation standards and determine eligibility for services based on the Kentucky Eligibility Guidelines for Communication Disabilities
About the Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Valid speech-language pathology license or interim license issued by the Kentucky Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology
  • Experience working with students with communication disorders
