Role Summary:

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), recognized as a Principal Specialist within our cybersecurity division. This role requires full-time onsite engagement at our designated facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments and ongoing monitoring of system compliance.
  • Facilitate the development of security plans and deliver educational initiatives regarding information systems security.
  • Investigate security breaches and prepare detailed reports outlining corrective and preventive measures.
  • Review and authorize configuration management requests within designated authority.
  • Perform both technical and administrative evaluations.
  • Integrate new cybersecurity methodologies, protocols, and tools into existing frameworks.
  • Assist in the creation, review, and revision of cybersecurity documentation and technical writing.

Essential Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree coupled with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with three years of pertinent experience in:

  • Cybersecurity and systems security.
  • Information Technology.
  • Compliance auditing utilizing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and other regulatory standards.
  • Support and management of computer technologies, including databases and operating systems.

Security Clearance:

An active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance is mandatory prior to commencing employment. U.S. citizenship is required for eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in:

  • Classified operating environments within the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Utilizing various information system security tools for vulnerability assessment and mitigation.
  • Implementing government directives and compliance standards.
  • Executing Assessment & Authorization processes as defined by the RMF.
