Diagnostic Radiologist Wanted in Las Vegas

The Department of Veteran Affairs is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Radiologist to provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the success of our dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in image interpretation, image-guided procedures, and patient care services within the specialty of Diagnostic Radiology. Additionally, they will contribute to quality assurance and performance improvement, oversee technical quality, educate staff and trainees, and participate in committee assignments and other activities that support clinical operations and the mission, values, and goals of the VA and the Medical Center.
- Provide expertise and support in various facets of Diagnostic Radiology and patient care.
- Interpret imaging exams, including relevant exam comparison and correlation with clinical information in CPRS, and support patient care services with timely reports.
- Responsibilities include reviewing exam requests for appropriateness, prescribing exam protocols, providing oversight of technical image quality, and participating in quality assurance activities such as peer review, protocol review, and performance improvement.
- Interact with patients to obtain relevant clinical history and physical exam findings, provide education, and document in CPRS.
- Integrate resources to provide current, optimal care, consult colleagues, research literature, and maintain continuing education.
- Participate in Imaging and general medical staff meetings, committee assignments, and other components of an organized medical staff.
- Support academic affiliations in technologist, radiologic assistant, medical student, resident, and other teaching programs.
- Diagnostic Radiologists will rotate night, evening, weekend, and holiday general Radiology call.
