Position Overview
Aya Locums has an urgent requirement for a locum Surgery Physician Assistant role with a duration of 13 weeks, offering competitive compensation ranging from $90/hr to $120/hr.Key Responsibilities:
- Gather patient medical histories and perform thorough physical examinations.
- Prescribe and manage medication regimens effectively.
- Conduct and interpret various diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Assist in surgical operations and other medical interventions.
- Work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare teams to formulate treatment strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care within electronic medical records (EMRs).
- Engage in effective communication with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.
Required Qualifications:
- A valid and unrestricted physician assistant (PA) license in the state of practice.
- The employer will assess your Aya Locums profile against the job criteria.
Essential Skills:
- Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to prioritize and manage a diverse patient caseload.
- Flexibility to adapt to various medical environments.
- Understanding of medical laws and ethical standards.

Work Schedule:
- 5 shifts of 8 hours, from 19:00 to 07:00.
Educational Background:
- A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a relevant discipline.
- A Master of Medical Science (MMSc) or a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MSPAS).
- National certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Commitment to ongoing medical education (CME) to uphold NCCPA certification and medical licenses.
