Job Summary:

As an MRI Technologist at Kaiser Permanente, you will operate magnetic resonance imaging scanners and related equipment to produce high-quality images of the body. You will work closely with radiologists to ensure accurate and effective imaging procedures. Your knowledge of MRI techniques and procedures, as well as your ability to communicate effectively with patients, will be essential in providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images of the body

• Position patients to obtain desired images in accordance with physician instructions

• Administer contrast media, as necessary, under the direction of a physician

• Monitor images and make necessary adjustments to obtain optimal images according to radiologist-designated protocols

• Maintain image recording equipment, including computers, disk drives, and image storage equipment

• Process and/or reformat images as required

• Consistently operate the Radiology Information System to ensure accurate patient information

Requirements:

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certificate - Magnetic Resonance Imaging

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) required

• Successful completion of an approved training program

• Ability to operate MRI equipment and perform related technical procedures

• Working knowledge of MRI techniques and procedures, anatomical relationships, and the contour and composition of body tissues

• Ability to communicate effectively in a caring and courteous manner

Work Environment:

This position is located at the Kaiser Permanente Rock Creek Medical Office Building in Lafayette, Colorado. The work schedule includes Sundays from 8am-4:30pm, Mondays from 3pm-11:30pm, Thursdays from 3:00pm-11:30pm, and Saturdays from 8:00am-6:30pm. External hires must pass a background check/drug screen.
