About the Role:

The Dietary Cook is a vital member of our food service team, responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents. As a Dietary Cook, you will work closely with our Food Service Director to ensure that all meals are prepared in accordance with our community's dietary specifications and food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals for residents, following established recipes and food safety guidelines.
  • Assist with food preparation, including chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the Food Service Director to plan and implement special diets and menus.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure their needs are met.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in food service or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
