Job Title: Registered Nurse - Adult Congenital Heart Disease

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Adult Congenital Heart Disease unit at Texas Children's Hospital. As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will provide high-quality patient care to adults with complex congenital heart disease, working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess and prioritize patient care needs, developing and implementing individualized plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Administer medications and treatments, monitoring patient responses and adjusting care plans as needed.
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to educate and empower patients to take an active role in their care.
  • Participate in unit performance improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare teams, providing compassionate and empathetic care in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or associate's degree, technical diploma, or current enrollment in a nursing bridge program.
  • Current licensure with the Board of Nursing for the State of Texas or Nurse Licensure Compact and current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
  • 1 year of professional nursing experience, with a preference for experience in ICU, Intermediate (IMU/Stepdown), and 2 years RN experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
