JOB SUMMARY
Lead energizing and fun group classes in a safe and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads group classes in TRX, Cycle, Pilates, Kettlebell, Bootcamp, Kickboxing, Kids Classes, Barre, Yoga, and Zumba.
- Provides a safe and enjoyable environment for members to achieve their wellness goals.
- Answers questions from members to support them in achieving their goals related to healthy living.
- Maintains working knowledge of wellness and trends to provide effective information and support to members.
- Builds effective relationships with members and helps them connect with each other and the YMCA.
- Keeps accurate class attendance records.
- Responsible for walking around and making adjustments and correcting form during class.
- Assists in maintaining equipment and informs the Director of any breakage or items needing replacement.
- Reports to work 5 minutes prior to class to prepare for class and ensure proper set up and tear down of class.
- Responsible for covering their class and follows YMCA policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required certifications:
CPR, First Aid, AED, and certification in areas of expertise.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to conduct classes and activities, perform all physical aspects of the position, including leading class, walking, standing, bending, reaching, and lifting.
