Key Responsibilities:

  • Restrain pets and triage incoming patients.
  • Collect and analyze laboratory samples.
  • Perform diagnostic imaging.
  • Manage and provide nursing care for medical and hospitalized cases.
  • Administer medications and communicate treatment plans effectively with clients.
  • Assist in surgical preparation and anesthetic management.

Please note that this role may involve exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1-year experience as a Veterinary Assistant is preferred.
  • Proficiency in sample collection, medical history acquisition, laboratory test processing, and anesthesia monitoring is advantageous.
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Confidence around animals is essential.
  • Strong reasoning, memory, mathematics, and language skills are required.
  • Good ambulatory skills to perform necessary duties.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and visual acuity for operating equipment.

Work Environment: Our team members frequently interact with various animals and may encounter anesthesia, radiation, biological or zoonotic hazards, and controlled substances.
