Position Overview
The role focuses on delivering an exceptional bakery experience by engaging with customers and ensuring they receive outstanding service and hospitality.
Core Responsibilities
The following duties are essential to this position. Associates are expected to complete all assigned tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the bakery:
- Arriving for scheduled shifts punctually and consistently, demonstrating effective communication and physical capability to perform assigned tasks safely.
- Enhancing sales by offering high-quality products that adhere to company standards and ensuring appropriate stock levels throughout the day.
- Delivering exceptional customer service using skills developed through training.
- Performing tasks such as finishing par-baked items, labeling products, and implementing promotional plans.
- Maintaining proficiency in producing a variety of baked goods, including donuts, cakes, muffins, and artisan breads, while ensuring a clean and sanitary workspace.
- Safely operating bakery equipment, including fryers, ovens, and mixers.
- Monitoring product quality and ensuring compliance with company standards.
- Receiving and inspecting deliveries to verify ingredient quality and quantity.
- Accurately fulfilling special customer orders in a timely manner.
- Assisting in training new associates and fostering a positive work environment.
- Upholding safety and health regulations in all bakery operations.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED; relevant experience or training preferred.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend instructions and communicate effectively with customers and team members.
- Mathematical Skills: Competence in basic math and measurement.
- Certificates & Licenses: Valid State Food Handlers Permit; Valid Driver's License or State I.D. Card.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
This position requires physical stamina, including standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in a bakery environment with exposure to various temperatures and equipment.
