Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate DV Therapist to join our team at YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee. As a DV Therapist, you will provide individual and group therapy to survivors of domestic violence, as well as co-facilitate support groups and conduct community outreach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions to residents living in our shelter
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, assessing client strengths and needs
  • Deliver trauma-informed counseling services, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for clients
  • Monitor client progress, offer crisis assistance, and coordinate community-based referrals as needed
  • Facilitate support groups and provide education on domestic violence services
  • Conduct outreach in the community to educate on DV services and promote culturally responsive practices
Requirements
  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, or related field
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in domestic violence or trauma-informed care
  • Training in enrichment activities, Trauma-Informed Care, and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) preferred
  • Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and clear driving record
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings
